    2365 It is obvious that BNC requires graphics support when started in interactive mode. But, note that it also requires graphics support when producing plots in batch mode (option -nw). Windows and Mac systems always support graphics. For producing plots in batch mode on Linux systems you must make sure that at least a virtual X-Server such as 'Xvfb' is installed and the 'DISPLAY' variable properly defined. The following is an example shell script to execute BNC in batch mode which could be used via 'crontab':
